Who we are

This website is run by HIGH-SPEC ELECTRICAL LTD (“High-Spec Electrical”, “we”, “us”), a company registered in England and Wales. We are the data controller for personal information collected through it. Company number 15929792. Registered office: Pembroke House, Llantarnam Park Way, Cwmbran, Torfaen, NP44 3AU.

Contact us about anything in this notice at sales@high-spec.services or 01633 741313.

What we collect

When you send an enquiry through the form on this website we collect:

  • your name, email address and phone number
  • the address of the job
  • your description of the job
  • any photos or files you attach

The form is provided by Tradify, our job management software, and your enquiry goes straight into our Tradify account.

If you phone or email us directly we hold the details you give us in the same way.

Like every website, our hosting provider briefly processes technical information such as your IP address and browser type so the site can be delivered and protected from abuse. We do not use it for anything else.

Why we use it, and our lawful basis

  • To reply to your enquiry, quote and carry out work. Lawful basis: taking steps at your request before entering into a contract, and then performing that contract (UK GDPR Article 6(1)(b)).
  • To keep the website secure and stop spam. Lawful basis: our legitimate interest in protecting our website and inbox (Article 6(1)(f)).
  • To keep records we are legally required to keep, such as electrical certificates and accounting records. Lawful basis: legal obligation (Article 6(1)(c)).

We do not use your details for marketing, we do not sell them, and we do not make automated decisions about you.

Who we share it with

We use a small number of service providers who process data on our behalf:

  • Vercel Inc. hosts this website.
  • Tradify, our job management software, where we keep enquiries, quotes, jobs and invoices. It also provides the enquiry form on this website.
  • Our email provider, which hosts our business inbox.

They process the data only to provide their service to us, under their own data processing terms. We may also share information where the law requires it, for example with building control for notifiable electrical work, or with our accountant and HMRC for tax records.

International transfers

Some of these providers store or process data outside the UK, including in the United States and New Zealand. Where that happens the transfer is protected by UK adequacy regulations, the UK Extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, or the International Data Transfer Agreement or Addendum approved by the Information Commissioner.

How long we keep it

  • Enquiries that do not lead to work: deleted after 12 months.
  • Customer and job records, including certificates and invoices: kept for 6 years after the work, or longer where building regulations or our insurers require it.
  • Website logs: technical data such as IP addresses, kept by our hosting provider for a short period.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to:

  • ask for a copy of the information we hold about you
  • ask us to correct anything that is wrong
  • ask us to delete your information, unless we need to keep it by law
  • object to, or ask us to restrict, how we use it
  • ask us to transfer it to you or another organisation

Email sales@high-spec.services to use any of these rights. We will reply within one month. It is free.

If you are unhappy with how we handle your information you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113. We would appreciate the chance to put things right first.

Cookies

This website does not set cookies or use analytics or tracking of its own.

The enquiry form is the one exception. It is provided by Tradify and only loads when you choose to open it. Once open, Tradify may set cookies, including Google Analytics and Google reCAPTCHA (which stops spam). If you would rather not, you can call or email us instead. See Tradify's privacy policy at tradifyhq.com/privacy.
